Denene Erasmus takes Sati role

16 October 2024 /Posted byherodigital

Erasmus is appointed as the table grape industry body’s market development and communications manager. South Africa’s Table Grape Industry (Sati) has named Denene Erasmus as its new market development and communications manager, a role she began on 14 October.

Erasmus has 15 years of experience as a journalist at publications such as Farmer’s Weekly and Business Day, most recently working as the economics and energy correspondent for Business Day and BusinessLIVE.com.

Sati pointed out that, as a journalist, she frequently reported on the South African table grape industry, ”equipping her with broad knowledge of industry-related matters”.

“We are pleased to have Denene on board and look forward to the value her skills and expertise will add to Sati and its members,” said CEO Mecia Petersen.

”Her fresh perspective and industry knowledge will contribute towards Sati’s objective of maintaining South Africa’s position in key export markets whilst developing markets where opportunity for South African table grapes exists.”

Erasmus said she was excited at the opportunity to contribute in a practical way to the continued advancement of agriculture in South Africa, and the table grape industry in particular.

”I look forward to working with Sati’s talented team of experts towards maintaining and progressing our table grape industry’s reputation as a preferred supplier of quality produce for retailers globally,” she added.
