LGS offers South African Star Ruby grapefruit

25 June 2024 /Posted byherodigital / 0

US-based group says it is offering retailers South African Star Ruby grapefruit ahead of schedule.

LGS Specialty Sales, a leading US importer of citrus, avocados, grapes, and persimmons, has said it is offering retailers South African Star Ruby grapefruit ahead of schedule.

The group noted that it ”stood out as a reliable supplier”, with volumes of early summer Star Ruby grapefruit available for shipment out of New Jersey.

“Our customers continue to partner with LGS Specialty Sales because we work to secure fresh produce, like grapefruit, when the market is in need,” said Luke Sears, president and founder of LGS Specialty Sales.

“If a retailer is having a hard time sourcing import grapefruit right now, look no further.”

The group said it sourced grapefruit from the company’s farms in the Mediterranean-like climate of South Africa, where the weather is optimal for high quality citrus.
