Anton de Beer joined Paltrack as an area representative effective 01 February 2018 and will be based at the Paltrack Eastern Cape Office.
Anton was born in Vanderbijlpark and grew up in Cape Town. After school he joined the Airforce, where he qualified as an aircraft maintenance technician.
In January 1995 Anton started his journey in the South African Fruit Industry at International Harbour Services (known today as FPT Cape Town). It is during this time that Anton first encountered and learned Paltrack solutions.
From there, Anton moved to Unifruco’s Head Office in Bellville, where he joined the Paltrack team as an administrator. Thereafter, Anton accepted a position in Port Elizabeth at FPT as an IT Officer, maintaining the Paltrack system. The Addo Coldstore was built and Anton was asked to head up the IT and Logistics functions at the store. In 2008, Anton left Addo Coldstore and started at Endulini Fruit in 2009 as the Cold Store Manager. In 2016, Anton was offered a position at SRCC in the Logistics department which he then accepted.
Anton has been exposed to the Paltrack solution since 1995 and has vast experience in the higher end solutions in terms of ports, packhouses and cold stores. He will truly be an asset to Paltrack and its customers with his in-depth understanding of the South African Fruit Industry and knowledge of our solutions.
